MUNROE FALLS- Ruth I. Straight, 82, died July 14, 2010.
Born in Steubenville, she was a resident of Munroe Falls for 40 years and an active and generous member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Akron, where she served on the vestry and was the financial secretary.
Mrs. Straight loved taking trips to Hawaii, golf, bowling and playing Bridge, but her greatest love was for her great-granddaughter Maisie.
Preceded in death by her parents John and Edna (Fraley) Hood, and her husband of 59 years James B., she is survived by her son Jamie Straight of New Orleans, LA; grandson Bennett Straight; great-granddaughter Maisie Straight; sister Mary Wirkner and special nephew John Reyes.
The Rev. Jeffery Richards will conduct memorial service Wednesday, July 21st at 10 AM at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 765 Thayer St., Akron 44310. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the church.
