STOW - Sally Ann Evans, 92, of Stow, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 30. Sally, a daughter of the late Carl and Helen Fanton of Wellsville, New York, was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald J. Evans, and son, James P. Evans. She is survived by her son David (Maureen), daughter Julie, daughter-in-law Stefanie, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. 

A graduate of Bowling Green State University and Toledo Hospital School of Nursing, Sally worked in the labs at the Cleveland Clinic and other area medical centers and volunteered at her local library. She was a talented gardener and knitter, an avid reader, and huge fan of The Ohio State University sports program. 

Family and friends will remember her love, kindness, and generous spirit. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd. (Rt. 91) in Stow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's.
