MADISON – Sherrie Lynn (Walters) Sweet, 63, went to be with Our Lord on Tuesday May 19, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born in Cuyahoga Falls, she grew up in Stow and graduated from Stow High School in 1980. She and her husband Christopher were married in 1995 and had been residents of Madison, Ohio since 2006. Sherrie had been employed with Mercury Machine Corp as an office manager until retiring in 2022. She was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. Sherrie enjoyed travel, NASCAR racing, cooking, Civil War history, cross stitching and reading.

Preceded in death by her father Richard Walters; and sister, Laura Burton, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Christopher Sweet; son, Michael (Helen) Murphey; grandchildren Kaitlyn Mayo and Dominic Staszko; her mother, Beverly Walters; sister, Jody Williams; brother, Richard (Bill) Walters, also survived by aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephew, all whom she loved dearly. She was cherished and will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

The Reverend Michael Walters will conduct services at 3 PM Saturday May 30, 2026, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends and family may call from 1 PM to service time at the funeral home.
