Shirley Marie Ransom

STOW – Shirley M. Ransom, 83, passed away April 23, 2026.

Born in Flatwoods, WV, she was a resident of Stow since 1975. Shirley had been a member of Acker Moore Memorial Post and she was an avid Cleveland sports fan. She loved watching the Browns, Cavs and Guardians. She also liked travelling whether it was going to the beach or visiting family in other states. Above all, she enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren over the years.

Preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Mary Shaver; husband, Jack Ransom, she is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Tod) DeCheco, Teresa (Randy) Wooley, Ramona (Lonnie) DelGreco, Lisa (Rick) Donze; son, Kenny Ransom; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call between 5 PM and 8 PM on Monday April 27, 2026, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Pastor Eric Swanson will conduct a brief service beginning at 8 PM. Burial for immediate family at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shirley’s name to a charity of your choice.
