Stephen P. Leiby

Stephen P. Leiby, 69, died on January 13, 2017 in Akron.
He was born on September 27, 1947 to Earl and Jessie Leiby in Oswego, NY.
Steve obtained his undergraduate in history for Wright State University and his JD from the Akron School of Law. He practiced law for more than 42 years, 27 of those years with Leiby Hanna Rasnick. He was an active member of the Akron Bar, where he served for a time as chairman of the ethics committee.
Central to his life was his faith in Christ, a faith that was shared with his family, and many of his friends and colleagues. His hobbies included listening to classical music - both recordings and live performances - and rooting for the Browns, Indians, Cavs, and Buckeyes. He was also an avid reader of history and theology.
He is survived by his two children, Stephen and Sarah with husband Brian Musick and their expectant child, and by their mother, Daneen Simms Leiby.
Pastor Jim Colledge will conduct funeral services Friday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 PM.
