Susan Elizabeth Hawk

Former Akron resident, Susan Elizabeth Hawk, age 66 passed away on October 12, 2014. She passed peacefully at her home in Marietta, GA, following a long battle with illness. Susan was born November 2, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Myrtle Phillips, her sister-in-law Charlene Phillips, and her brother-in-law James Castner. Susan is survived by her husband James Hawk, her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Beth Hawk, her brother David Phillips, her niece and family Dawn, Brian, and Mae Phillips, and many extended family members and friends. Susan will be remembered for her love of all animals, especially her beloved dogs, and for her particular passion for the Christmas season. She will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, October 19 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow, where Father Kevin Elbert will conduct a funeral service on Monday October 20 at 10 A.M.
