Obituary of Tessie Novak

Tessie (Tatiana) Novak, 97, passed away July 7, 2018.

She was born January 17, 1921 in Akron. Tessie resided in Akron then Stow, throughout her entire active life. She worked as a hairdresser in Akron for many years, retiring in 1996.

Tessie is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Novak; parents, Peter and Julia (Kopiscianski) Zelaska; sisters Marta (William) Slusser and Ellen (Anthony) Mahr. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Raymond) Hendricks; grandsons, Timothy Hendricks and Thomas (Tricia) Hendricks; and great-grandsons, Maxwell and Nicholas. Tessie was also blessed with a beautiful and loving extended family to whom she was not just their aunt, but also a "Grandma."

Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Tuesday, July 17 at 7:30 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5:30 PM until service time. Graveside service 11 AM Wednesday at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Gables of Hudson, for the caring environment they provided for her over the past two years, and to Crossroads Hospice for their attentive and professional care these final weeks.
