Thomas R. Delawder, 67, entered into eternal life on April 2, 2014 at his home in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. Tom had battled liver disease since July 2009.
Born in Basye, VA and raised in Cumberland, MD, Tom touched the lives of so many people as son, brother, nephew, uncle, husband, father and friend. Graduating from Oldtown High School in 1965, Tom served in the Air Force at McChord AFB near Seattle, WA. He lived in Maryland and Pennsylvania before moving to Ohio in 1998.
He dearly loved his family and friends and was truly grateful to all who helped care for him as his health failed.
Tom will be laid to rest at Trinity Powder Springs Cemetery in Basye, VA with his beloved late father and mother, Chester Delawder and Earlene (nee Walker).
We will miss the twinkle in his eyes, his warm smile, unforgettable laugh and generous spirit. May he find in God's presence light, happiness and peace.
