Obituary

Victoria Lyn Lavanty, age 51, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with Huntington's disease.

Born in Akron, Ohio on August 30, 1975, Victoria was the daughter of the late Victoria Marie (Pia) and Henry Samuel Lavanty. She was one of six children and the older of fraternal twins, sharing a special lifelong bond with her twin brother, Scott.

Victoria graduated from Stow High School in 1993. She loved going to the movies and was a talented tap dancer, bringing joy to those around her through her love of music and dance.

With a kind heart and a natural compassion for others, Victoria devoted much of her working life to caring for those less fortunate. She found purpose in helping others, offering kindness, comfort, and dignity to people in need. In one of life's cruelest ironies, Huntington's disease eventually took away her ability to care for others, leaving her dependent upon the very compassion and care she had so freely given.

Above all, Victoria loved her family. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt whose life touched those around her.

She is survived by her brothers, David and Scott Lavanty; her four nieces, Brittany Lavanty, Jessica Lavanty, Julianne Lavanty, and Sammy Mancuso; and her two nephews, Kyle Regan and Brandon Regan.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; her brother, John Lavanty; and her sisters, Deborah Mancuso and Maria Regan.

The family extends its deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at Seasons Nursing and Rehabilitation in Stow, Ohio, who were truly angels on earth. Their extraordinary kindness, compassion, patience, and unwavering commitment to Victoria's care brought her comfort, dignity, and love throughout her most difficult days. They cared for her not simply as a patient, but as a person, and their devotion will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family.

Victoria will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, love of family, and the courage with which she faced life's greatest challenges.

While Huntington's disease took away her ability to dance and care for others, it could never take away the love she gave or the place she will forever hold in our hearts.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those she loved, free from suffering, and dancing once again.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.
