Obituary of William J. Moore

William Joseph Moore, age 80, went home to Jesus Nov. 3, 2018, leaving behind a loving family: wife of 53 years, Joan Shepherd Moore; sons: William Joseph II (Jessica Dolhonde), Robert Allen (Jennifer Havlicek) and their children, Emily Jessica and Tyler Jason; daughter Stephanie Marie (Jerry Oliver), and their child Bryce Arthur.

Bill worked 37 years at Ford Motor Co, retiring in 1995. He had many interests, including golfing, bowling, camping, owning a spot down at Salt Fork, NASCAR racing, working with the Boy Scouts, and his love of working on his home. Bill came from a large family in Parkersburg, WV: his parents Harley Emerson Moore and Gula Rosetta Farley, siblings Virginia, Betty, Juanita, Chuck, Ed, Jerry (Virginia's son, but like a brother), and leaving behind Gladys, Carl and Wayne. There are many loving extended family members as well.

He graduated from East Akron, but spent the majority of his life in Stow, married at St. Stephen Lutheran, and was a member of Resurrection Lutheran. In earlier years, he was involved in being a faithful servant in church life: greeting, ushering, couples club, Boy Scouts, Y Bridge Ministry, and working on the kitchen. We would like to thank all our family and friends for all of the support. Thanks also to Hospice and Mulberry Gardens.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 3 to 7 PM, where Pastor Laurel Bobb and Pastor Jim Baston will conduct service Friday 10 AM. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
