CUYAHOGA FALLS - William G. Stockton, 88, died May 19, 2018.
Born September 23, 1929 in Willow Grove, Tennesse to Riley S. and Lillian M. Stockton, he was a lifetime area resident, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, and had retired from Continental (General Tire) in 1992.
Bill enjoyed traveling, photography, and the friendships of fellow residents at the Danbury Independant Living Community.
He is survived by long time friend and companion, Mai Miller; his children, Gary Stockton (Susan, deceased), Gina Anthony, Glen (Lynda) Stockton, Gail Caplinger (Jerry, deceased); grandchildren Marie (Larry) Spencer, Sarah (Jonathan) Anderson, Donald Stockton, Valerie Stockton, Hannah Caplinger, and Joseph Caplinger; two great-grandchildren, Elliot Spencer, and Jonah Anderson; brother Rev. Glenn (Sarah) Stockton; nephews Duane, David, and Dale Stockton; niece Danae Alonso.
The family would like to thank the staff at Danbury Assisted Living Facility and the nurses of the Hospice of Western Reserve.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday, May 24th from 6-8 PM, where Rev. Glenn Stockton will conduct service Friday 12 noon. Burial Crown Hill. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Haven of Rest.
