Wilma Bennett

Born in Ohio County, Kentucky, Wilma Bennett, age 90, passed away on April 4, 2014 after an extended stay at Stow Glen Health Care Center. Wilma was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where she had worked for several years as a corporate secretary.



Wilma was an intelligent, independent woman who loved cats and was devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by parents Benjamin and Phyllis Bennett and brothers Tisesus Ford Bennett, and Allison Burke Bennett. Wilma is survived by her beloved family; cousin Harvey Lindley, his children, Angela Zuneen and Dean (Angela) Lindley, and grandchildren, Gracie and Robert Zuneen, Alex Rosas and Dakota Lindley.



The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff at Stow Glen for their excellent and compassionate care of Wilma for the past 11 years.



There will be no calling hours or service. Private interment at Greenlawn Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 4904 Quick Road, Peninsula, OH 44264.
